According to Feminist peace and conflict theory reflects on the need of visibility of women in conflict and has led to broader understanding of security issues. In the early 21the century historic reference to Pacifist movement and gender aspect claimed by feminists, relate mainly the world war the second. For feminism pacifist women had vital contribution to make for peace. In similar framework, current feminist peace and conflict theories argued that war is exclusion from decision-making which particularly affect women and for that matter women makes vital contribution to maintaining peace and security (Annete Weber, 2006).

The research is primarily an assessment of the role of women in crime prevention, specifically addressing security issue problems within the context of Alamata town, Kebele 04.
The study centers on the responsibilities of women, their active participation in community peacebuilding, the societal perspective regarding these roles, and the specific strategies they employ to mitigate security risks.
The aim is to investigate and assess how women contribute to the prevention of security problems and to evaluate their current level of involvement in mediation and conflict resolution.
The researcher utilized a mixed research approach, combining quantitative (questionnaires) and qualitative (interviews, focus group discussions) methods with a cross-sectional research design.
The main body examines theoretical frameworks such as feminist peace and conflict theory, social control theory, and situational factors in the study area that influence women’s effectiveness as peace agents.
Key terms include women's empowerment, community policing (rond), conflict mediation, crime prevention, gender-based approaches to security, and societal attitudes.
Rond is defined as a legal or community-based collection of women in a particular area, organized to prevent security issue problems and to identify individuals who are new or suspicious in their neighborhood.
The research focuses on Kebele 04 in Alamata town, noting that women here are highly active in neighborhood peace-keeping networks, mediation of border conflicts, and child socialization to foster peaceful behavior.
The study concludes that the current level of participation is "medium"—neither as low as in the past, nor as high as expected—and emphasizes the need for increased government and societal encouragement.
