This research focuses on understanding the specific challenges and opportunities faced by women in Ghana, aiming to identify and implement a comprehensive solution to address gender inequality and promote societal progress.
It is a strategy designed to address the root causes of gender inequality by "uprooting the tree" rather than just cutting branches, focusing on sustainable global transformation through deep-seated social and cultural changes.
The research analyzes social, cultural, and economic factors in Ghana that lead to women being devalued or disrespected, contributing to a persistent gender gap in various sectors of society.
Gender mainstreaming is the globally dominant methodology for achieving equality. The thesis examines its limitations and why existing approaches have often failed to produce permanent results.
Data was sourced from secondary reports (Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, World Economic Forum) and primary sources including questionnaires and interview responses from participants in Ghana.
The goal is a sustainable global transformation where humanity can overcome current health, economic, and social crises by fully valuing and empowering the female half of the population.
