This work examines the potential of body-oriented theater pedagogical methods in the context of coaching-education. Based on neuroscientific research, the value of the body in coaching and the potential of body-oriented theater pedagogical methods in practice were investigated with the help of structured guided interviews. The sample consisted of eleven persons from the fields of coaching practice and coaching education, whereby each interviewed person had at least ten years of practical experience. The data collection was additionally supported by a group discussion with 14 students of a coaching-education, which was conducted following an participatory participant observation. The data collection was based on qualitative content analysis. The investigation showed that the body in coaching is very important for the interviewed experts. The results also showed that body-oriented theater pedagogical methods initiate other interaction and relationship possibilities than language based methods. In addition, it was found that these methods address all levels of the brain and thus have a holistic effect. In summary, it could be stated that body-oriented theater pedagogical methods have potential for coaching education.
Future research could investigate how verbal and non-verbal communication in coaching interact with body-oriented theater pedagogical methods.

Warum?

Bewusstseinsprozesse finden in einigen wenigen Hirngebieten statt.

Abbildung 2.2. Embodiment - Konzept (eigene Darstellung in Anlehnung an Tschacher, 2017, S.15)
Wissen wurzelt also in Sinnes- beziehungsweise in Körperzuständen (Trautmann-Voigt et al., 2020, S. 3).
