Die Masterthesis untersucht die Anwendung der Balanced Scorecard im Personalbereich, mit dem Ziel, die Effizienz und Effektivität des Personalcontrollings zu steigern. Das fünfte Kapitel fokussiert sich auf die Balanced Scorecard als Führungsinstrument. Es werden die Ursprünge und Entwicklung des Konzeptes sowie die Grundlagen und der Aufbau der Balanced Scorecard erläutert. Die vier Perspektiven der Balanced Scorecard, die finanzwirtschaftliche Perspektive, die Kundenperspektive, die Lern- und Entwicklungsperspektive und die interne Prozessperspektive, werden im Detail betrachtet.
Das sechste Kapitel behandelt die Anwendung der Balanced Scorecard im Personalbereich, die als HR-Balanced Scorecard bezeichnet wird. Es werden die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten zur Einbindung des Personalbereichs in die Balanced Scorecard, wie die Integration und die Addition, vorgestellt. Die Anwendungsvoraussetzungen und Anforderungen an die HR-Balanced Scorecard werden erläutert, sowie die Eignung verschiedener Personalabteilungstypen für den Einsatz der HR-Balanced Scorecard.
Das siebte Kapitel befasst sich mit der Bedeutung und Entwicklung des Personalcontrollings in der Praxis. Es werden aktuelle Trends und Entwicklungen im Bereich des Personalcontrollings beleuchtet und die Bedeutung des Personalcontrollings für die Wertschöpfung in Unternehmen hervorgehoben.
