This study investigates the impact of the East Central Rwanda Field (ECRF) policy of limiting education assistance to only four children per church employee. The research seeks to determine whether this policy influences school dropout rates, deviation from Christian education, and the level of interest children have in the church.
Statement of the problem
Apart from financial issues that may hinder education of children, the fact that makes child fall out of eligible conditions for gaining education, brings some self-centered problems such as complexes, superstition, significance deficiency of memory and psychological greed. Education is a fundamental human right as a catalyst for economic growth and human development (Okidi, 2004). Researches prove that above-mentioned factors are root cause of failure in education that result low education compliance.
The SDA church employee’s children above four in family are the case of study. The lack of interest to the church cause of missing ordinal church support, gaining deviated education and dropping out of schools are major targets of this thesis of research to measure and exposure as depending on the limiting education assistance to four children. An American writer stated that as a stream always partakes of the property of the soil through which it runs, so the principles and habits of youth invariably become tinctured with the character of the company in which they mingle (White, 1977).
Many inspired writers recommended Christian education especially Adventist education to children in school age so that they rise up in harmony with the church. We are not all organized alike, and many have not been educated aright. Their education has been deficient. Some have had a quick temper transmitted to them, and their education in childhood has not taught them self-control. With this fiery temper, envy and jealousy are frequently united. Others are faulty in other respects. Some are dishonest in deal, overreaching in trade. Others are arbitrary in their families, loving to rule. Their lives are far from being correct. Their education was all wrong. Others, whose education has not been so faulty, who have had better training, have developed a much less objectionable character. The Christian life of all is very much affected for good or for evil by their previous education. (White, 1893)
CHAPTER ONE: Introduces the research background concerning SDA education assistance and the policy of limiting support to four children.
CHAPITER TWO: Reviews literature on Christian education, political economy of education, and the specific challenges of dropout rates and lack of interest in the church.
CHAPITER THREE: Details the research methodology, including the descriptive and correlation research designs and the target population within ECRF.
CHAPTER FOUR: Presents and interprets the statistical findings based on surveys and interviews regarding the impact of the assistance limitation.
CHAPTER FIVE: Provides a summary of findings, conclusions, and specific recommendations for ECRF, parents, and the affected children.

The study examines the impact of the policy limiting SDA church education assistance to a maximum of four children on the educational outcomes of employees' children exceeding this limit.
The core themes include Christian education philosophy, the financial impact of tuition assistance policies, factors influencing school dropout, and the correlation between church support and youth interest in religious doctrines.
The study specifically asks if there is a measurable impact of the limitation of education assistance to four children on the education, school attendance, and church interest of children beyond that number.
The researcher utilized both quantitative and qualitative methods, including structured questionnaires with Likert scales and interviews with officers, employees, and affected children.
The main body covers the theoretical framework of Christian education, the socioeconomic challenges of families with many children, empirical data analysis on tuition assistance, and the subsequent psychological and social impacts on the students.
Key terms include Adventist education, ECRF, education assistance, dropout rate, Christian education, policy limitation, and employee welfare.
The ECRF policy allows for the replacement of a child in the assistance program if a child finishes their studies, abandons the program, or meets other specific criteria.
The study found a strong positive correlation (.964**) between the limitation of education assistance and negative impacts on the education of the affected children, indicating a significant relationship.
