This research project aims to investigate the factors hindering effective teaching and learning of business education in public tertiary institutions within Anambra State. The study seeks to identify these obstacles and provide recommendations for improvement.
CHAPTER ONE: INTRODUCTION: This chapter sets the stage for the research by providing background information on business education in Anambra State's public tertiary institutions. It clearly defines the problem the research addresses—the factors militating against effective teaching and learning—and articulates the study's purpose, research questions, scope, and significance. The introduction lays the groundwork for the subsequent chapters by outlining the research's goals and its contribution to the field of business education.
CHAPTER TWO: REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE: This chapter delves into existing research and theories related to effective teaching and learning in business education. It explores various theoretical frameworks, such as constructivism and Piaget's cognitive development theory, to provide a context for understanding the factors affecting business education. The chapter also presents a comprehensive review of empirical studies, examining the impacts of inadequate teaching methods, teacher shortages, insufficient resources, limited technology access, and inadequate funding on the quality of business education. The synthesis of these studies provides a strong foundation for the research methodology and expected findings.
CHAPTER THREE: RESEARCH METHOD: This chapter outlines the research design, area of study, data collection instruments, and data analysis methods used in the study. It details the procedures followed to ensure the validity and reliability of the research findings. The description of the methodology provides transparency and allows for evaluation of the research's rigor and the generalizability of its results.
CHAPTER FOUR: DATA PRESENTATION AND ANALYSIS: This chapter presents the findings of the research, analyzing the data collected to answer the research questions posed in Chapter One. It presents the data in a clear and organized manner, using appropriate statistical methods and visual representations to facilitate understanding. The chapter thoroughly examines the various factors identified in previous chapters and how they affect teaching and learning in the context of the study.
