This report investigates the implementation and scope of Building Information Modeling (BIM) within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries, specifically focusing on the region of Lahore, Pakistan. The primary objective is to evaluate the current level of BIM awareness, identify the benefits and adoption barriers faced by local professionals, and provide actionable recommendations for enhancing BIM integration in both professional practice and academic curricula.
Limitation factor of BIM Implementation:
BIM has essential focal points to a development that gets through the venture lifecycle. In any case, tragically, most comes don't win these points of interest owing to not receiving and executing BIM [9]. There square measure a few constraints that eased back BIM execution [10] and BIM application stays, inside the beginning stage somewhat [11]. Once assessing the assortment of articles related to confinement factors for BIM usage, the analysts found various sorts of arrangements. The grouping by [12] has been used right now. That every one restriction factor square measure ordered into 5 classifications: innovation, cost, the executives, workforce, and legitimate. The analysts chose this arrangement because it's the chief ongoing one and it incorporates all the classes that were supposed in past works. Fig. one shows the BIM confinement classes. Inside the accompanying segment, these classes are referenced.

The report examines the adoption, implementation, and challenges of Building Information Modeling (BIM) specifically within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sectors located in Lahore, Pakistan.
The study covers BIM definitions, the historical evolution of the technology, benefits of implementation, specific barriers (technological, financial, management, personal, and legal), and the intersection of BIM with sustainable building practices.
The research aims to identify the current proportion of BIM implementation in Lahore's AEC industries and to understand the specific hurdles and benefits experienced by local professionals during the adoption process.
The author employed a dual approach consisting of a comprehensive literature review and an online questionnaire survey conducted among 200 BIM users and AEC professionals in the region.
The main body treats the conceptual framework of BIM, global adoption trends compared to the Pakistani context, detailed survey analysis of industry usage, and the role of BIM in improving economic, environmental, and social sustainability in construction.
Key terms include Building Information Modeling (BIM), AEC industry, construction project management, technology adoption, sustainable development, and architectural engineering.
The author categorizes these into five distinct groups: technological factors, cost factors, management factors, personal factors, and legal factors.
The author recommends that the Department of Public Works should make BIM mandatory for all government-registered AEC projects to ensure standardized quality and efficiency.
